to Henderson County residents who are in financial crisis
The annual National Letter Carrier's Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive on Saturday May 11, brought in 43,374 lbs. of food! The food was distributed between IAM, the Salvation Army and the smaller food pantries in the County. Thanks to everyone who participated in this amazing food drive! Thanks to the United Way for publicizing the food drive here in Henderson County! Thanks to everyone who put food out for the letter carriers to pick up! Thanks to the awesome letter carriers who picked up the food AND delivered the mail! Thanks to MANNA Food Bank for coordination, support and delivering the food to the various organizations! Thanks to the Salvation Army for coordinating the volunteers. Thanks to all the volunteers who helped sort and pack 43,374 lbs. of food in the Post Office Annex! Thanks to MANNA and the Hendersonville Firemen who unloaded over 14,000 lbs. of food for the IAM Pantry! And thanks to the IAM volunteers who are coming in for extra shifts this week to unpack and sort the food!
