Interfaith Assistance Ministry is a faith-based, nonprofit organization with the mission:  "to provide emergency relief to Henderson County residents who are in financial crisis by offering funds, food, clothing, counseling and referrals in an atmosphere of compassion and respect."

Established in 1984 by local churches and the Hendersonville Ministerial Association to coordinate crisis services in their behalf, Interfaith is now supported by over 80 churches, the synagogue, religious organizations, businesses, civic groups, foundations and individuals. Interfaith is administrated by a small staff and more than 260 volunteers who contribute over 35,000 hours of service every year. The Duke Energy Foundation has selected Interfaith as the Henderson County administrator of Share the Warmth funds.
